The Italian e-commerce retailer — which in September received a €130 million (about $152 million) investment from Milan private equity fund Style Capital — named Alessandra Rossi chief executive officer. Rossi, a veteran of Yoox Net A Porter Group, joins Luisa Via Roma as the retailer targets international expansion, looks to augment its editorial offering and aims for a public listing.
Former chief executive Andrea Panconesi will remain chairman of the board of directors with a 60 percent stake in the company.
“Andrea Panconesi and I are thrilled to have Alessandra Rossi appointed as CEO, to strengthen the structure of the company for a future listing,” Roberta Benaglia, chief executive of Style Capital, said in a statement.
