On the 10th and 11th of November, the “Dark Pattern Detection Project” (Dapde) will host a interdisciplinary online-conference on the issue of digital manipulative designs:
Defusing Dark Patterns – Current Technical and Legal Approaches
The conference will give a platform to researchers, consumer advocates and industry representatives in order to reflect a complete picture of the ongoing discourse regarding dark patterns and possible responses to those mechanisms.
The conference will consist of five panels, hosted digitally on two consecutive afternoons. Additionally, it will be possible for the participant to meet some of the pannelists in smaller break-out sessions and discuss follow-up questions after most panels.
Make sure to join in on November 10/11th (14.45-19.00 CET) – the event is now open for registration.
